The surveillance audit conducted by our independent certification body is complete and our ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate has been renewed. The audit covered purchasing, storage, dispatch, after-sales service and customer complaint management.
Audit scope
Over two days, the following processes were examined:
- Supplier evaluation and approved supplier list management
- Incoming goods inspection and certificate verification
- Stock traceability and lot tracking
- Pre-dispatch final checks and packaging standards
- Recording of customer complaints, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up
- Staff competence and training records
No major or minor non-conformities were reported. The auditor noted two opportunities for improvement, and an action plan has been prepared for both.
What quality processes mean in practice
Certification is not a document that sits in a file; it has concrete consequences in daily operations:
Traceability. For every critical part we sell, the supplier and the batch it arrived in are recorded. If a problem is identified with a product, reaching every record shipped from the same batch takes minutes.
Certificate verification. In safety-critical groups such as brakes and lighting, ECE approval documents are checked and recorded at goods-in.
The complaint loop. Every customer complaint is logged, its root cause investigated and, where necessary, reflected in the supplier evaluation. A supplier generating recurring problems is removed from the approved supplier list.
Work in progress
We have begun preparatory work towards occupational health and safety management system certification. We are also extending barcode-based lot tracking to further improve traceability in our warehouse processes.
